We’ve all been there. Months of easy connections and fast streaming speeds over your home Wi-Fi connection and suddenly your Mac just won’t connect.
There are a lot of variables that influence why your Wi-Fi connection might drop out, from the hardware in your home or computer, to software on your computer, to issues totally out of your hands originating from your service provider.
Here’s a list of things you can do narrow the list of possible culprits and get back up and running again.
1. Verify that the Wi-Fi connection is the one you want
Macs sometimes skip from the Wi-Fi connections you expect to be connected to a different network. If there are other “open” networks available that don’t actually provide an internet connection, that could be the source of your problem right there.
