macOS 15, best known as macOS Sequoia, is named after the California National Park and, more specifically, the world’s largest trees. Among the new features that arrived on Macs with Sequoia in September 2024 were iPhone mirroring, which puts your iPhone screen on your Mac’s display and lets you interact with it via your mouse and keyboard, a new Video conferencing presenter preview, and a new Password app to manage passwords. Subsequent updates have brought Apple Intelligence, which is Apple’s name for its AI features.
macOS Sequoia has been available for compatible Macs since September 2024, but further updates to Sequoia have arrived almost monthly since. The latest major update is macOS 15.5, which arrived on Monday, May 12. A beta for macOS Sequoia 15.6 was released on June 16.
